Ingredients

  • (1 pack, sliced into 1/2 inch rounds) Pork Bratwurst Links (Pineapple Teriyaki)
  • (2 cups) Jasmine Rice
  • (1 Tablespoon) Olive or Avocado Oil
  • (1, thinly sliced.) Red Bell Pepper
  • (2 cups) Broccoli Florets
  • (1 medium, thinly sliced.) Red Onion
  • (1/4 Cup) Low Sodium Soy Sauce (or alternative)
  • (2 Tablespoons) Honey or Brown Sugar
  • (2 Tablespoons) Rice Vinegar
  • (1 Tablespoon) Sesame Oil
  • (1 clove) Minced Garlic
  • (1 teaspoon, grated) Fresh Ginger
  • (1/4 Cup) Water
  • (2 Tablespoons) Sesame Seeds (optional)
  • (Chopped for garnish.) Green Onions (optional)

Directions

  1. Cook the Rice

Cook the jasmine rice according to package instructions and set aside.

    2. Make the Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it naturally thickens slightly. Set aside once it reaches your desired consistency.

    3. Cook the Brats

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced Ayers Valley Farm Teriyaki Brats and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

    4. Cook the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the red bell pepper, broccoli florets, and red onion. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the broccoli is tender and the bell pepper softens. Add the garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.

    5. Combine Everything

Add the browned brats back into the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the homemade teriyaki sauce over the mixture and toss to coat everything evenly. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.

    6. Assemble the Bowls
Divide the cooked jasmine rice into serving bowls. Top each bowl with the teriyaki brat and vegetable stir-fry. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
