Why Ayers Valley Farm Pasture Raised Pork?
- Our hogs are raised outdoors. Fresh air, sunlight, room to roam and root are great for the well-being of the animal but it's also great for the meat. Their meat and fat are rich in micronutrients, particularly fat-soluble vitamins like E and D.
- We do not use corn or soy in our feed. Not only are they the most allergenic ingredients in most diets, they are also being genetically modified and sprayed with pesticides. We feed our hogs clean, locally sourced GMO FREE feed.
- Heritage genetics play a huge role in the taste of the meat. Deep, rich, red are words we like to describe our pork with. Their heritage genetics haven't been crossbred (or modified) so they're fatter animals which creates meat that is very juicy and flavorful.

- Our hogs live stress free lives. With room to roam, lay under the shade trees, snack on the diverse forage and native nuts and grubs - they enjoy every single day!
- We also go the extra mile to keep their living area fresh and clean. Our hogs are moved every 7-14 days into a new paddock to ensure they stay happy and healthy. This also ensures the plants in their pastures have time to rest and regrow.
- Along with their feed, natural diet and clean living area the pigs here enjoy lots of love from their farmers and from farm tour guests. Belly scratches, an occasional watermelon in the summer and a lot of smiling faces looking their way!

Ayers valley is my favorite Ohio Grass Fed Grass finished farm. There are a bunch of reasons to try their meat but I really like how they don't feed their animals corn. Grocery store "organic" chicken can still be fed organic corn. You can taste the difference in their meat. Healthy, happy animals just taste better!
