  • (1 lb, cut into bite-sized pieces.) Chicken Breast
  • (1 bunch, trimmed.) Broccolini
  • (1 Cup) White Rice
  • (1/2 Cup) Fresh Orange Juice
  • (2 Tbsp.) Soy Sauce (or alternative)
  • (1 Tbsp.) Honey
  • (2 cloves) Minced Garlic Cloves
  • (1 tsp.) Minced Ginger
  • (2, chopped) Green Onions
  • (1 tsp.) Chili Garlic Paste
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

  • Olive Oil (for cooking)
  • (1/4 cup for marinade) Soy Sauce (or alternative)
  • (1/4 Cup (for marinade)) Fresh Orange Juice
  • (2 cloves (for marinade)) Minced Garlic
  • (1 tsp (for marinade)) Minced Ginger
  • (1 tbsp (for marinade)) Honey
  • (1/2 Cup (for sauce)) Fresh Orange Juice
  • (2 Tbsp (for sauce)) Soy Sauce (or alternative)
  • (1 tsp (for sauce)) Chili Garlic Paste
  • (1 tsp (for sauce)) Cornstarch (optional for thickening)



1. In a bowl, whisk together the marinade ingredients: soy sauce, fresh orange juice, minced garlic, minced ginger, honey, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken pieces, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

2. Cook the white rice according to package instructions and set aside.

3. In a small saucepan, combine the sauce ingredients: fresh orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and chili garlic paste. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. If desired, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry and add it to the sauce to thicken. Set the sauce aside.

4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.

5. In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if needed and stir-fry the broccolini for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Add the green onions and continue to stir-fry for another minute.

6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour the prepared sauce over the chicken, broccolini, and green onions. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats all the ingredients.

7. Serve the orange chicken, broccolini, and green onions over the white rice. Garnish with additional green onions and chili garlic paste if desired.
