Our Beef Tallow is rendered fat from 100% grass fed and finished cattle — one of the most traditional, stable, and nourishing cooking fats available. Our cattle are 100% grass fed and finished on chemical free native pastures with no antibiotics, no added hormones, and no vaccines. Tallow from grass finished cattle is richer in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, higher in conjugated linoleic acid, and has a cleaner flavor profile than tallow from conventionally raised cattle. What goes into the animal shows up in the fat.

Cooking Tip: Use tallow anywhere you would use butter, lard, or oil — it has a smoke point around 400 degrees F making it ideal for high heat cooking. Perfect for frying potatoes and vegetables, searing steaks, roasting root vegetables, pan frying eggs, making pie crusts and pastry, seasoning cast iron, or as the base fat for any braised or slow cooked dish that deserves richness and depth.
